CygnaCom Solutions Names Miles Smid as Vice President, Security Technology
McLean, VA - September 3, 1999 - CygnaCom Solutions, Inc. has named Miles Smid as the vice president for security technology. He previously spent 21 years at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) most recently as the acting chief, computer security division. In his new role, he will be responsible for cryptography and information security related projects for the Government, Banking Industry, and information security product vendors.
