HERNDON, VA - Secure Elements, Inc. today announced that it has contracted with a NIAP Common Criteria Testing Laboratory (CCTL) to conduct Common Criteria (ISO 15408) testing of its automated vulnerability remediation product, CLASS 5 AVR. The Common Criteria testing is an internationally recognized standard for IT security. Upon successful completion of the testing, CLASS 5 AVR will meet the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security at Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL3). This means that DoD and Intelligence Community consumers can purchase this product according to NSTISSP #11 and DoD 8500 acquisition policies.
Secure Elements has selected CygnaCom Solutions to conduct the testing efforts for CLASS 5 AVR in its Security Evaluation Laboratory (SEL). Cygnacom Solutions' Common Criteria Testing Laboratory is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Assessment Program and approved by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). CygnaCom's SEL performs Common Criteria evaluations in accordance with the NIAP Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme.
Secure Elements' solutions, available to civilian, military, and state and local agencies on GSA Schedule GS-35F-0256K, can now be acquired with the confidence that Secure Elements is committed to meet the industry's most stringent certification requirements for security products. NIAP certification remains an important benchmark, allowing buyers to feel confident that the software they purchase can deliver as promised.
