ForeScout CounterACT v6.3 (CounterACT) combines network access control (NAC) and intrusion prevention to ensure all connecting devices are in compliance with network security policies and are free of worms and self-propagating malware. CounterACT integrates into a network environment and enables enterprises to tailor enforcement actions to match the level of policy violations through a single network appliance that interrogates and controls access to the network devices. CounterACT protects data through access control policies, scanning network devices for vulnerabilities (non-compliance to a defined vulnerability management policy), user identification and authentication, role-based management functions and auditing of security relevant events.
