LANDesk Management Suite enables administrators to automate desktop management tasks and proactively control, update and protect desktops, servers and mobile devices. It consists of tools that can be used to view, configure, manage, and protect the devices in a complex, heterogeneous computing environment (Windows NT, Windows 2000/2003, NetWare, Macintosh, Linux, and UNIX networks).
All of the following tasks can be done through the LANDesk Management Suite console:
- Maintain security and keep up with patches and updates
- Efficiently install and maintain software on the desktop
- Decrease software licensing costs and respond to audits
- Reduce the cost of helpdesk support
- Manage physical, contractual and financial assets
- Migrate users and their profiles to new operating systems
