GuardianEdge Data Protection Framework 8.6.0 with GuardianEdge Hard Disk Encryption 8.6.0 and GuardianEdge Removable Storage Encryption 2.4.0 is a software product that implements full hard disk encryption. It employs both pre-booth authentication and transparent on-the-fly disk encryption at the device driver level to provide complete protection of information resources stored on a fixed media on Windows XP notebooks, desktops, and workstations. The product allows for central administration and offers multiple options for both user authentication and administrative recovery, including a challenge/response mechanism that can be run remotely. The Management console and recovery mechanisms are not in the TOE boundary. It is compliant with FIPS 140-2 Level 1 requirements for cryptographic modules. In the evaluated configuration, the client will run on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.
