Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
The TEMP addresses key system interfaces and measurable test parameters. It documents the overall structure and objectives of the tests that will be performed to evaluate system interoperability and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) supportability. This includes interoperability Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) and Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) from the associated Requirements Document. It also includes the Information Technology (IT), including National Security Systems (NSS), interfaces and IERs specified in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Support Plan (C4ISP). The C4ISP also identifies C4ISR support that must be provided to execute the TEMP.
The TEMP documents the overall structure and objectives of the test and evaluation program. provides a framework within which to develop test plans specific to each test level or test event and it documents schedule and resource implications associated with the test and evaluation program. The TEMP identifies the developmental test & evaluation, operational test & evaluation, and certification activities. relates program schedule, test management strategy and structure, and required resources to:
- Critical operational issues
- Critical technical parameters
- Objectives and thresholds derived from the Requirements Document
- Evaluation criteria
- Milestone decision points
