C4ISP Support
DoD acquisition guidance requires that a C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) Support Plan (C4ISP) be developed for programs in all acquisition categories when they connect in any way to the communications and information infrastructure. The C4ISP shall be kept current throughout the program's acquisition process. The C4ISP shall be formally reviewed at each milestone, at each block in an evolutionary acquisition, at decision reviews, as appropriate, and whenever the concept of operations or IT support requirements change.
The C4ISP is an acquisition document developed for new and modified systems to ensure that necessary C4I support is planned and provided. C4ISP development early in the system life cycle increases the probability of efficient and effective fielding of systems.
CygnaCom Solution's has years of experience in the development of C4ISPs to include the creation of architectural views:
- Operational View: Describes tasks and activities and the information exchanges required
- Systems View: Describes systems and the connections and communications among them
- Technical View: Defines a minimal set of standards and rules governing the implementation, arrangement, interaction, and interdependence of system elements
