Senior Software Developer

McLean, Virginia

CygnaCom Solutions is currently looking for a Sr Software Developer to join our Entrust consulting services team at our McLean, VA location.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with customers, IT staff, and engineers to define software development requirements.
  • Executing full lifecycle software development
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Producing specifications and determining operational feasibility.
  • Developing and executing software verification plans.
  • Documenting and maintain software functionality.
  • Preparation of design documents, operating manuals, and other software documents as required.
  • Providing post deployment system support.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience developing software in C++ and Java.
  • Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications.
  • Experience developing software in Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Applicant must possess, and be able to maintain, an active DoD Secret level clearance (minimum) with expectations of being able to obtain TOP SECRET clearance while on the job.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with Entrust suite of products desirable, especially experience with Entrust Toolkits.
  • Familiarity with PKIs and related technologies (LDAP directories, HSMs, OCSP) and security practices.

Security-Cloud Services Engineer

McLean, Virginia

The person filling this position will work with the dynamic MSO team to provide PKI services to government and commercial customers. This person will also act as a team lead for the Virginia office.

Responsibilities
  • Install new PKI systems and related components.
  • Identify and implement improvements to PKI and related systems (performance, security, etc.)
  • Propose solutions that satisfy the customers' security and business requirements.
  • Provide post-customer deployment support.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing infrastructure.
  • Assisting customers with demo testing (as needed.)
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in requirements definition, design, and analysis of systems infrastructures.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT security and designing system-level security solutions that include single sign-on (SSO), directory systems, email systems, distributed application/database systems, or similar large-scale mission-critical systems.
  • Working knowledge Linux and Windows operating systems (Preference for Strong RHEL background.)
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi.
  • Knowledge of web servers, application servers, networking, databases, and directories.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent English language communication skills (other languages considered an asset.)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Entrust products
  • LDAP Experience, with a preference for RHDS
  • Apache Tomcat
  • CoreStreet VA or other OCSP knowledge
  • SafeNet HSM experience
  • A valid DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
